Weather anomalies or the new "normal" weather?

Seems the weather news this year is not "normal". Any postulations as to why not besides the standard global warming response? Extreme flooding events in the United Kingdom, China, United States and elsewhere fill the news as well as wildfires in Australia, the American West and Southeast. The historical distribution and timing of rainfall is changing in many places....you see people interviewed who don't recall seeing such weather extremes. Just make sure you aren't living in a flood zone or, the other extreme, living near a tinderbox of vegetation and dead wood. Comments, conjectures welcome......

Panoramic Images around the Globe....

A fascinating website at Berkeley....you can see 360 degree images of many places around the world. You need Quicktime (Apple) to view. Also I recommend that you download the locations onto Google Earth and you can just surf the world and find beautiful panoramas from Ka'ena Point Natural Reserve on Oahu to a Winter Garden in Finland !! Enjoy!
